How can I be sure of who is taking these tasks? What can you tell me about their profile?

At Prolific, transparency is key. For every person who completes your tasks, you can also download detailed demographic profiles without any personally identifiable information. All participants on Prolific also go through a robust onboarding process including bank-grade identity checks to ensure that every participant is who they claim to be.

What quality assurance processes do you have in place?

We have a multi-layered approach to quality assurance that includes rigorous participant vetting at the time of onboarding, ongoing performance monitoring and feedback, and options for users to include attention and comprehension checks within the task that help maintain high acceptance rates.

What happens if I receive submissions that are not of a high quality?

On Prolific, you have the option to reject participant or tasker submissions for certain valid reasons such as completing the task exceptionally fast (i.e. are statistical outliers) and objectively demonstrate low-effort throughout the task (for example, wrote only few words when asked to write a paragraph). How can I work with specific set of participants better

Prolific gives you the ability to automatically filter for select participants (either from previous studies or using specific participant IDs) when publishing a task. You can also message participants, individually or in bulk, through our in-app messaging system or email.

I have only worked with outsourcing models previously. How can Prolific support me in setting up these tasks?
